FIG Enrollment for Fall 2026 will become available May 1.
FIGs are only offered in the fall semester. FIGs satisfy a student’s Engage 100 requirement. Students should work with their academic advisor to identify a FIG appropriate for their fall schedule. Individual courses in a FIG cluster cannot be dropped from the FIG, so students and advisors should carefully consider incoming accelerated or dual enrollment credit when making a FIG selection.
This page provides details on available Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs) organized by major and academic theme. Each FIG listing includes the course sections within the cluster, the peer leader’s major or minor, and the requirements fulfilled by the courses in that FIG. While FIG registration is not restricted by major, the FIG Colloquium is designed to support students within the identified academic interest. Students are encouraged to review all FIG clusters to determine which option best aligns with their goals and needs.
